Fisheries Act amendment aims to enhance biosecurity, regulate aquaculture

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 29 — The Department of Fisheries Malaysia (DOF) is set to amend the Fisheries Act 1985 (Act 317) comprehensively to better regulate aquaculture activities and enhance biosecurity measures, ensuring the protection of the nation’s fishery resources.
